## How to compile a file to view in .pdf file in texStudio

How to compile a file to view in .pdf file in texStudio? I am using foxit reader as my pdf viewer. I can't compile after I text it. The below is the error display in the foxit reader after I compile it.

Check if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

I have upgraded to TeXStudio 2.6.6 via the package manager in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS since the one in the repository was way too old. However, when I launch the application and try to open a file or check Latex installation an error box appears as I added here. Furthermore, when I click OK the system crashes and I cannot open the terminal or close TeXStudio leaving me with no choice but to restart the computer by holding the power button. I have tried reinstalling and uninstalling multiple times with no solution and would greatly appreciate any help and suggestions provided.

EDIT: The problem is solved I found a dictionary with featuring two files one with .aff extension and the other with .dic extension. However, I am still puzzled about how a missing dictionary in a program can crash the whole system. Thanks in advance

## TeXStudio Embedded PDF viewer

Is it possible to have TeXStudio to display PDF file side by side with the source code just like TeXMaker? I am asking this since their user interfaces are very similar, hinting that we should have the same functionality in TeXStudio also. At the moment when I press quick build it views the PDF file in a separate window.

## JabRef + TeXStudio BibTeX problem

I have created a database of bibliography on Jabref named Review.bib. I have called this file in TexStudio. Out of 15 citations, 12 are perfectly fine but 3 are not cited at all. There is this sign [?] and even citation not added to reference list.

## TeXstudio Is Not Responding

I have been using TeXstudio for some time now, and have highly enjoyed using. However, just now it has been acting up. Whenever I open the program, my cursor always reverts to the wait-cursor, this one , and it is rather annoying. Not only is this an issue, but I TeXstudio won't compile any of my documents.

Has anyone ever dealt with this issue?

EDIT: Here is the code that is apparently giving me trouble:

% Regular polygons
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{tikz}
\begin{document}

\newdimen\R
\R=0.8cm

\begin{tikzpicture}

% Indicate the boundary of the regular polygons
\begin{scope}[yshift=-3\R]

\draw (0:\R) \foreach \x in {60,120,...,359} {
-- (\x:\R)
}-- cycle (90:\R) node[above] {Hexagon} ;

% 360/7 = 51.4286 For PGF v < 1.18 we have to round to the nearest
% integer. Newer version support fractional angle values.
% For a more accurate result use the sequence
% {51, 103, 154, 206, 257, 309}

\end{tikzpicture}

## "Failed to find …x.pdf" error message in Texstudio

I have been using Miktex for years and now wish to use Texstudio as it looks much easier and faster. To do so, I set up Texstudio on my PC and wrote a very simple code to start off. However, the code working in Miktex is not working in Texstudio. The error message launched is "Failed to find ...x.pdf" and the code is as follows,

 \documentclass[a4paper, 11pt]{article}
\begin{document}
Hello World!
\end{document}

I would be happy if you let me know what I am doing wrong

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

## Automatically created labels in Structure of TexStudio

I wrote a command for a document with many figures and tables which belong to each other. Every figure/table has the same caption just one parameter changes and the labels are automatically created. The problem is now, that these labels are not in the label list of TexStudio which would be nice.

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{hyperref}

\DeclareRobustCommand{\captionf}[1]{Parameter of #1\label{fig:Parameter#1} %
\global\def \captiont {Description of \autoref{fig:Parameter#1}}
}

\begin{document}

\begin{figure}[ht]
\centering
lalala
\caption{\captionf{lalala}}
\end{figure}

\begin{table}[ht]
\centering
\begin{tabular}{cc}
la & lu \\
\end{tabular}
\caption{\captiont}
\end{table}

\end{document}

Does somebody knows a solution to this?

## How to fix showing table labels in TeXstudio when using ctable package?

In TeXstudio editor one can easily choose which labels to reference as soon as you type the cross-referencing-macro you intended to use, for instance, \cref{} of the cleveref package (see image below).

One problem, though, when you use ctable package to create a table, a user-friendly package indeed, you soon discover that you should label the table the way that ctable understands:

...
label=tab:somelabel,
...

Here comes the problem, since labels of tables were marked the way ctable understands, TeXstudio can no more recognize them as normal labels, and you won't find these labels in the drop down menu among other labels made by whatever else method.

This can be of course tolerated when you have a couple of labels, but when you have a lot of them, it turns out to be a tedious task to recall or call out the labels exactly as they are.

I would be grateful if someone would provide a workaround solution for this issue, without sacrificing the use of either ctable package or TeXstudio IDE.

## csvautotabular error

As I have done many times before, I am trying to import a csv file into TeXstudio as a table; however, this particular I have run into an error, that I am uncertain of how to resolve. Here is the portion of code giving me trouble:

\begin{table}
\begin{tabular}
\csvautotabular{inner_outer_rings.csv}
\end{tabular}

\begin{tabular}
\csvautotabular{inner_oter_rings_log.csv}
\end{tabular}
\end{table}

Specifically, this line \csvautotabular{inner_outer_rings.csv} is giving me trouble. Actually, it is giving me many error messages:

## Biblatex’s \printbibliography not working

I am a beginner with LaTeX, so it might be something really obvious that I am missing. I am using TeXstudio as an editor if it makes any difference.

I have the following code in my .tex file:

\documentclass[12p,twoside,a4paper]{report}
\title{My title}

\usepackage[style=numeric,backend=bibtex]{biblatex}

....

\newpage
\nocite{*}
\printbibliography

Inside my citations.bib file I have:

@book{rasmussen,
author    = "C. E. Rasmussen & C. K. I. Williams",
title = "Gaussian Processes for Machine Learning",
year      = "2006",
publisher = "MIT Press",
address = "Massachusetts Institute of Technology"
}

Inside my .tex document I am citing it as \cite{rasmussen}, but there is no citation at the end of my file.

So, to sum up, my code looks like this:

\documentclass[12p,twoside,a4paper]{report}
\title{My Title}

% For the citations
\usepackage[style=numeric,backend=bibtex]{biblatex}

\begin{document}

\par
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. \cite{rasmussen}

\newpage
\nocite{*}
\printbibliography

\end{document}

I get the following error message when running bibtex myFile:

This is BibTeX, Version 0.99d (MiKTeX 2.9)

The style file: biblatex.bst
I couldn't open database file citations.bib

What am I missing?
